State CEO holds meeting with political parties

Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Tuesday briefed the delegation of different political parties on the Special Revision of electoral rolls. Chhattisgarh is scheduled to have state general election in November 2018.

As per the guidelines laid down by the Chief Election Commission on the upgrading of electoral rolls-2018, Chief Electoral Officer Subrat Sahu gave details of the electoral rolls of second Special Revision Programme-2018 presently under progress. 

The revised Integrated Electoral roll will be published on 31st July 2018. Claims and objections regarding the up graded electoral rolls by the contending parties will be entertained from July 31 to August 21, 2018.

The claims and objections will be resolved by September 20, 2018. On September 26 Wednesday, the second special brief revision-2018 the data base would be updated and the supplementary electoral roll would be published.

The final publication would be done on September 27, 2018.
