Kerala tourism website in a bid to increase traffic from international visitors

The reason behind this is the stiff competition from aggressive tourism campaigns by Asian countries like Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea.

Hence, in order to attract global travelers and to reach out to 50 lakh people across the world, the Kerala tourism department has now decided to organize the ‘Clint Memorial International Online Painting Competition Season 11’ in a better and bigger way. First held in 2014, this contest had resulted in increase traffic to the website from lesser known source markets like Romania and Bulgaria.

The tourism department is also thinking of making use of major platforms like Google and YouTube for publicizing the campaigns. The participants will need to create a painting on any aspect of Kerala. The prizes for winners will include tour packages with families to Kerala along with cash prizes and mementos.

The Kerala Tourism has around five million visits per annum at the moment.
