4 arrested, more than 1 kg heroin seized in Hry

Haryana Police has arrested four drug peddlers and seized more than one kilogram heroin valued at around Rs one crore from Sirsa district.

One kg heroin was seized from Parveen Kumar, a native of new housing board colony Sirsa, whereas 63 gram heroin was recovered from three persons namely Rajinder Kumar, Sandeep Kumar and Satish Kumar, all from Mandi Dabwali, said a spokesman of Police Department.

He said that Director General of Police BS Sandhu appreciated the efforts made by Sirsa Police against the drugs through ‘Prabal Prahar’ campaign.  In the first case, crime investigation agency of Dabwali stopped a car during patrolling at a bridge on Hisar road. During checking, police team recovered one kg heroin from the accused Parveen Kumar. Police team has also enquired about the name of supplier. Based on this, a case under NDPS Act has been registered against two persons at City Police Station, Sirsa, the spokesman said.

In another case, CIA Dabwali has arrested three persons from a car in Panniwala bus stand area and recovered 63 gram heroin from their possession, he said.

All the accused would be taken on remand by producing them in the court. Stern action would be taken after identifying the other persons involved in this racket of heroin smuggling, he added.
