Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek are crazy football fans in Russia. See pic

Bollywood’s most famous father-son duo are busy having a blast in Russia. We are talking of Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek who are currently in St Petersburg in Russia, enjoying 2018 FIFA World Cup matches. Abhishek shared a picture of them together, all smiles, after the France versus Belgium match got over. Congratulating France over a well-deserved win, Abhishek wrote: “#FraBel #worldcupsemifinals Congratulations France! @amitabhbachchan.”

Looks like they were supporting France as both were clearly elated at France’s victory over Belgium. Abhishek can be seen flashing a thumbs up sign too.

Amitabh has written blog about their family’s stay in the Russian city. He also shared lots of pictures from St Petersburg, admiring the architecture and the overall beauty of the place. Through his blog, at one point, he talks of man’s fascination with the divine. He wrote: “... the opulence and the reverence to the Almighty has ever been of keen interest to the human .. either in its making or its presence in nature .. the unknown, the divine has ever been given such position and pride and presence...”

In the same vein, he mentions how sports too is a religion to many people across the globe. He went on: “... similarly the opulence and the magnanimity of the sport which be no less than a religion, is unmatched ..”

Looks like many members of the Bachchan khandaan are in Russia to enjoy the last few matches of the World Cup. On July 9, Amitabh shared pictures of his two children—Abhishek and Shweta— along with his grandchildren, Navya Naveli and Agastya from the aircraft.

In a picture, shared on his Instagram page, we see all of them, barring Navya, engrossed with their phones. Commenting on it, Amitabh wrote: “... the family that Mobiles together, stays together..”

However, in the many pictures that he has shared, some members of the family are missing--wife Jaya Bachchan is nowhere to be seen. We know that Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya are in Paris, where the actor has to fulfil her commitments to the international watch brand, Longines, which she endorses.
