Devote time, money for deprived children: Minister

HRD Minister Neera Yadav during a book launch ceremony here on Tuesday asked the financially sound and educated citizens to devote some time and support the underprivileged children to eradicate the social disparity from the society. The Minister was addressing the gathering at CCL headquarters here on Tuesday.

“We should make attempts to bring rural children to the mainstream through supporting them financially and spending some quality time in imparting education to them. The fate of government schools too can be changed, if we pledge to support the children studying in government schools,” the Minister stated. 

During the book launch of ‘English Sikhe Aur Safal Bane’ conceived and written by Jagdish Narayan Singh – Ex-CGM, CCL/Director of different subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL), the Minister said, “We must change with the changing time and apply our knowledge to achieve success in life. Information about foreign languages widen our awareness level, however, we should not forget our ‘Mother Tongue’ and its importance.”

Sharing the details about the book that holds much significance in this competitive era from universal language perspective, JN Singh said, “The book is the foundation course for the learners of English Language. The book aims to provide basic concept to all age group, starting from alphabets to grammar to phonetics. Its 355 pages have been designed with simple illustrations.”

The writer stated that the book will be a series and he had already started penning down another book alongwith two other writers. Singh further added that the aim of writing such kind of book is to cover all section of society, addressing a few relevant questions like what should be the correct age of learning English language, technique of learning a foreign language including its advantages for those, who consider learning English language as one of the toughest tasks. CCL CMD Gopal Singh, Ranchi MP Ramtahal Choudhary alongwith other eminent persons graced the occasion.
