Process of forming new council with 27 KDMC villages in final

The process of carving out a separate municipal council comprising 27 villages currently under Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is in the final stages, Devendra informed the state here today.

Fadnavis, while replying to a debate on the issue during the Question Hour, also said that a notification to this effect had been issued last year.

The has been asked to complete the process of hearing suggestions and objections and submitting a report on it by July end, he said.

"Once the report is submitted by the divisional commissioner, appropriate decision would be taken," he added.
