GURUGRAM: A personal security officer (
PSO) of a city-based businessman was arrested for allegedly
shooting at his colleague, a
bouncer, at their workplace, the businessman’s house in Sector 43, after an argument over toilet cleaning.
Businessman Sunil Manchanda’s PSO Surender, a
Hisar resident, was produced in a city court on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody. Police have also seized his licensed pistol
Yogesh, who suffered a
bullet shot in his foot, was discharged from the hospital after treatment. A resident of Delhi’s Gopal Nagar in
Najafgarh area, he was working as a bouncer for Manchanda from January, this year.
According to his complaint, Surender started an argument with him at Manchanda’s residence in Sector 23 on Monday afternoon.
“I reached his (Manchanda’s) house and was going to change my uniform when Surender started an argument with me over cleaning the toilet. He alleged that I had made the toilet messy. After a heated argument, he shot at my foot with his licensed pistol. I was injured and the other staff rushed me to the hospital,” said Yogesh.
A police team reached the house and took Surender into custody and seized his pistol. An
FIR was registered against Surender under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC and sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act at the Sushant Lok police station.
Surender confessed to his crime after his arrest. “We produced Surender in a city court and he was sent to judicial custody. We have also seized his licensed pistol,” said ASI Chunni Lal, the investigating officer in the case.
