Odisha: One student dead, three others injured as school wall caves in

The headmaster of the school is under suspension for the negligence of duty.

BHUBANESHWAR: In a tragic incident one minor girl student was killed and three others seriously injured when the wall of the Binayakpur UP School in Bhadrak district caved in on Tuesday.

The deceased girl has been identified as Manasi Mallick. All the three injured girl students were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack in a serious condition.

The District Education Officer has placed the Headmaster of the school under suspension for the negligence of duty. The irate villagers have locked the main gate of the school after the incident and demanded action against the school authority.

Bhadrak District Collector said the administration will provide free medical treatment to the injured children.
