Man held for molesting 32-year-old woman

Shahjehanabad police have booked a miscreant who molested a 32-year-old woman student of MTech at Shahjehanabad on Sunday.

Police said that the accused Vipin Malviya used to molest and harassed the victim at Regiment road in the evening.

On the day of the incident, the victim managed to escape and lodged a complaint with the Shahjehanabad police stating that when she was on her way to home the accused obstructed her way and tried to hold her and proposed her which led to scuffle between the two and later the victim managed to escape and approached the police for reporting the incident.

The victim told the police that the accused used to follow her for the past several days and on Sunday he molested her.

The police have booked the accused for molestation and started search for the accused who went absconding after the incident. Meanwhile, Ashoka Garden police booked a 53-year-old labour contractor for molesting a 27-year-old married woman labour at a factory in Govindpura Industrial area on Sunday. Police said that the victim filed a complaint in police against the labour contractor Ramkishan Ahirwar on Sunday after the accused offered an indecent proposal.

The victim in her complaint stated that she works as labour and used to work at Mittal Ispat. Case under section 509 of the IPC registered.
