Punjab Govt. withdraws cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur’s DSP rank. The Government of Punjab has withdrawn the DSP post from the India women’s T20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur. According to sources, the Punjab Govt. took this decision after the graduation degree of Harmanpreet Kaur was found to be fake according to police officials, the police department said in a letter to Harmanpreet, the govt. told her that the cricketer can be retained as a constable.But Harmanpreet Kaur’s manager says, “We have not received any official letter from Punjab police regarding the termination of her job. This is the same degree which she submitted in the Railways. How it can be fake and forged?”
The issue had come to light when an officer from Punjab police contacted university for verification of Harmanpreet’s document. The cricketer was appointed DSP of Punjab Police in March.
