BRATISLAVA: Slovak utility Slovenske Elektrarne plans to put its new unit 3 at the Mochovce nuclear power plant into operation in the second quarter of 2019, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said on Tuesday, a small delay to previous estimates.Pellegrini told a news conference after visiting the plant that the current construction cost estimate of 5.4 billion euros ($6.33 billion) was still valid, although shareholder Enel would provide a 700 million euro loan to meet this.
Italian group Enel owns Slovenske Elektrarne along with the Slovak state and Czech energy group EPH.
