KOZHIKODE:
CPM has decided to launch an ideological campaign against Popular Front of India (
PFI) ‘exposing its terror content’ in the backdrop of the murder of SFI worker Abhimanyu.
A workshop will be held here on July 13 for writers and public speakers under the aegis of the Keluvettan Study and Research Centre to give them orientation. CPM believes that PFI attracted several Left-leaning
intellectuals who were duped by the organisation’s ‘anti-fascist face’.
“There are many writers and intellectuals who share platform with PFI thinking that the anti-fascist posture of the organisation is genuine. Late Mukundan C Menon and K Panur were the presentable faces of NDF (previous avatar of PFI), but Panur had resigned from Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (CHRO), a pro-NDF outfit, realising the danger,” said K T Kunhikannan, director of the Research Centre and the district committee member of CPM.
Referring to the attack on Abhimanyu,CPM said it is the operation of a ‘killer squad’ trained by the PFI-SDPI.
