Artistes such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Pharrell Williams will be headlining the Global Citizen Festival which will be held in South Africa to honour of late Nelson Mandela on his birth centenary.
The event, titled Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, will take place on December 2 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
The festival aims to celebrate the legacy of Mandela, South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and erstwhile President, with the aim of ending "extreme poverty" by 2030.
Popular TV host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey will deliver keynote address highlighting Mandela's achievements, who died in 2013, according to a statement from Global Citizen.
"Nelson Mandela's life story is a testament to the power of the human spirit and one man's ability to change the world by standing up for what he believed in.
"It is one of the great honours of my life to have spent so much time with him, and I look forward to celebrating his courageous life," Winfrey said.
The hosts of the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 include the likes Naomi Campbell, Bob Geldof, Gayle King, Bonang Matheba, Tyler Perry and Forest Whitaker.
