Stray dog menace at GGP Colony

Sir,

Stray dogs at GGP Colony in Bhubaneswar are creating havoc to the pedestrians and motorists, especially two-wheeler users. In spite of repeated complaints, the authorities concerned are apathetic. People are scared to move around in this locality, especially during nighttime. There are instances where the panic-stricken two-wheeler users caused accidents to avoid getting bitten by the dogs. As a result, they are plying in alternative routes.

Once again, I appeal to the authorities to view this matter seriously before any untoward incidents occur and put an end to the stray dog menace in this  colony. Also at this juncture, I would like to suggest to the authorities that instead of killing the dogs or leaving them in a deserted place, they send them to some dog welfare organisations.
