GURUGRAM: A 34-year-old man, who jumped
parole, was
arrested again on Monday for allegedly killing a resident of Sector 4 in February. Police said
Giriraj, who lives in Mohammedpur, had several murder cases registered against him.
Giriraj was arrested by a crime branch team led by inspector Naresh Kumar.
The unit also seized two country-made pistols from his possession.
In February, when Giriraj was out on parole, he along with others allegedly murdered Pravesh Bhati of Sector 4. A case was registered under Arms Act and IPC sections 302(murder), 216 (harbouring offender who has escaped from custody) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) against him.He had been absconding since then. A case for parole jumping has also been filed.
Police said Giriraj murdered Sri Krishna, who was from UP, along with his fellow gang members earlier. In 2007, he murdered a man called Kawar Singh Bhati, for which he was given a
life sentence. Bhati (35) was returning home, when the four stopped him in front of JBM factory in Mohammedpur Jharsa and shot him.
The family had named Giriraj, who had murdered his uncle Kawar Singh 10 years ago.
