A Ahmedabad-bound Vistara flight has been cordoned off at Delhi airport following a bomb scare.
The Vistara flight UK 976 scheduled to took off from Delhi airport at 10:55 am was rescheduled to 1:00 pm and later to 3 pm. The airline said in a tweet that the delay was due to "mandatory security checks".
But according to a source, the delay was due to a phonecall made from Goa to the airline's customer care that said about a bomb placed in the flight.
Following this, the aircraft has been taken to an isolation bay and security personnel along with sniffer dogs have been pressed in for a search operation as part of the bomb threat contingency plan at airports.
