Congress leaders in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh observe former CM YSR’s birth anniversary​

HYDERABAD:  Congress leaders belonging to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, who had worked under the leadership of the then chief minister of erstwhile united state YS Rajasekhara Reddy, got an opportunity to interact with one another and recollect their past bonding when they gathered here to celebrate YSR’s birth anniversary.

Andhra leaders led by KVP Ramachandra Rao, and Telangana Congress leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Anjan Kumar Yadav and others paid rich tributes to the departed leader at  Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday.

They recalled YSR’s contribution to the development of the then united state of Andhra Pradesh.
Terming him as a great visionary, Ramachandra Rao said, “His welfare measures like providing free power to farmers are being emulated by several states.”

Meanwhile, Bhatti Vikarmarka accused the TRS government of ignoring the welfare schemes introduced by YSR for the poor.
