PM Narendra Modi set his forays to UP

With an eye on Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased his forays into this politically most sensitive state and is expected to hold at least four public and one official meeting in various parts of the state in July.

Starting from Noida on July 9 and then Azamgarh on July 14, PM is set to address a public meeting in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on July 15 and a farmers rally in Shahjahanpur on July 21.

Prime Minister will also attend a conference of the Union Urban Development Ministry in Lucknow on July 29.

Official in Chief Minister’s Office said here on Sunday said that the PMO has given its nod to all programmes and the organisers have also commenced their preparation.

Sources further said that Modi is scheduled to visit Noida  to inaugurate the new manufacturing unit of Samsung electronics on July 9. PM Modi will be accompanied by Korean President Moon Jae-In during his Noida visit.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present during the visit.

On July 14 Prime Minister is likely to lay foundation stone of the much awaited Purvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh, the parliamentary constituency of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, and will address a public rally.

However, this would be the second time a foundation stone would be laid for the proposed Expressway as first time it was laid in early 2017 by the then Samajwadi Party government. The Poorwanchal expressway, for which tender process is underway, is 340 kms highway connecting Lucknow with Ghazipur. It will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 12,000 crore.

From Azamgarh, PM will go to Varanasi , his parliamentary constituency on July 14 evening and after a night stay will address a public meeting at Raja Talab grounds on July 15.

Raja Talab is the place from where Narendra Modi had launched his poll campaign for his Varanasi seat in 2014.

PM is slated to visit Sahajahanpur on July 21 where he will address a kisan rally. This will be first address of PM to farmers after his government has hiked the the MSP of paddy and in other Kharif crops.

Meanwhile BJP state president has appointed in-charge of PM’s programme. Senior BJP Leader Haridwar Dubey and state secretary Santosh Singh will be incharge of PM’s Azamgarh programme of July 14, Sunil Ojha and party’s vice-president Lakshman Achjarya will be in-charge of Varanasi programme on July 14 and 15and party’s vice-presidents Pushotam Khandelwal and BL Verma will be in-charge of PM’s Sahajahanpur programme of July 21.
