Only 45.79 percent students clear Telangana SSC Advanced Supplementary examination

HYDERABAD: A total of 48, 644 candidates cleared the SSC Advanced Supplementary examination, results of which are released on Saturday. The overall pass percentage of students stood at 45.79 percent, which is 14.14 percent less than last year's figure.

Girls performed slightly better than boys as they secured 4.01 percent higher than the boys pass percentage, which is 44.05.

While a total of 1, 06, 240 candidates appeared for the exam, which was conducted between June 4 and June 19, Warangal Rural district students stood first with a pass percentage of 89.08 percent, whereas Adilabad district is placed at the bottom of the table with only 23.58 percent of students clearing the exam.

Students from Hyderabad district too failed to put up a good show as only 9034 students out of 23, 763 cleared the exam. The pass percentage of Hyderabad district stood at 38.02 percent, which secured them 22 spot out of 31 districts.

"Marks memos will be sent to all the candidates both failed and passed with 10 days to facilitate the passed candidates to take admissions into the first-year intermediate without any difficulty," said B Sudhakar, director of government examinations.

He added that the results of few candidates are withheld for want of certain information from the school/camp/center. These cases will be finalized and released.

The candidates, who wish to apply for recounting or reverification, had to submit their application with a stipulated fee of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 per subject respectively between July 8 and July 16.
