PM Narendra Modi to launch 30 projects in Varanasi

VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to dedicate over 30 projects during his proposed public meeting at Kachnar village of Rajatalab area on July 14 evening.

Modi is likely to camp in his parliamentary constituency on July 14 and 15. During his visit, he will lay the foundation of Purvanchal Expressway in Azamgarh on July 14 and before leaving for Delhi will also visit Mirzapur on July 15. The final itinerary of the visit is awaited.

After selecting the site for Modi's proposed public meet in Varanasi, district magistrate Surendra Singh on Sunday told TOI, "The final itinerary of the PM's visit is awaited. As per the tentative programme, the ground for the PM's proposed public meeting has been selected at Kachnar village in Rajatalab area."

The officials said that the list of projects to be dedicated by the PM during his proposed visit has been sent to the PMO for approval. This list contains over 30 ready projects of Varanasi while PM may also lay foundation of some development projects.

In Azamgarh, Modi will lay the foundation of the Purvanchal Expressway at a ground near Manduri airstrip.
