Tamil Nadu govt passes Lokayukta Bill on the last day of assembly session

The Tamil Nadu assembly on Monday passed the Lokayukta Bill 2018 to inquire into charges of corruption against chief minister, ministers, MLAs and government officials. The Bill was passed on the eve of the Supreme Court’s July 10 deadline to submit a compliance report on establishing an anti-graft ombudsman.
