Gurugram traffic police have prepared a foolproof action plan to tackle traffic mess and effective policing on the city roads. The traffic police has ensured a shift system for its personnel so that they can take proper rest after their job hours.

Apart from this, to curb traffic violations, personnel will also be deployed at major traffic junctions in the entire district to tackle situations effectively. Also, cops will be deploy round the clock to attempt clearing traffic bottlenecks at different stretches.

A senior traffic police officer said that they have been instructed to prepare decongestion plans for multiple roads. More traffic cops are now seen on the city roads compared to the month ago.

Recently, the Gurugram traffic police finally got around 150 traffic personnel in a bid to sort out the traffic mess in the city. These personnel have been recruited as constable s and deployed across the city. At present, the total strength of the traffic police is 550.

“The new recruits have joined the department. With their presence, traffic police will become more effective and their presence will prevent traffic violations across the city. The traffic police will work more effectively and overburdened traffic cop will get relief” DCP (traffic), Sulochana Gajraj said.

Besides that, the city police had recently launched 150 E-challan machines for the E-challan system. Policemen can use the handheld E-challan devices to issue fines on the spot to traffic offenders. “With this technology, the traffic cops manage to save their valuable time and can focus on the traffic situation. The paperless system help personnel for speedy challans,” a traffic officer, said.

“Additional traffic cops have been increased on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, MG Road, Old Gurugram area and state highways. Traffic personnel are being spotted frequently near Kherki Daula toll plaza, Delhi-Gurugram border, Bilaspur and Kapashera border where a number of commuters are caught violating traffic rules,” he said.
