Rupinder Pal Singh and Akashdeep Singh returned to the side as India named its men’s hockey squad for the Asian Games.
Rupinder, who had been rested for the Champions Trophy, was in fine form in the practice games against Bangladesh at the SAI here. Akashdeep had missed the trip to Breda with a niggle.
However, the team will be without Ramandeep Singh, who sustained a knee injury during the Champions Trophy.
“Though it is unfortunate we will be missing out on Ramandeep Singh’s experience, it is good to have Akashdeep Singh back in the mix,” said chief coach Harendra Singh.
