Army man attacked, robbed

A group of men allegedly assaulted a 31-year-old Army man and robbed him when he fell unconscious, while he was waiting for an autorickshaw near Domlur flyover on Tuesday night.

When he regained conscious, the victim, Ajith Singh, who is a resident of Vimanapura, found himself in the Sailors’ Family Academy Accommodation quarters, near HAL, the next day. After recovering, Mr. Singh filed a police complaint on Thursday.

In his complaint, Mr. Singh said he had gone to Austin Town on official work and was dropped till Domlur, where he was waiting for an auto to get home. Around 11.30 p.m., three men came from behind and attacked him. Mr. Singh passed out during the attack, following which he was robbed of his wallet and two mobile phones.
