GURUGRAM:
Residents from areas of DLF 3 complained of water crises over the last few days, alleging that the supply runs twice a day, for about
20 minutes in total, which was not sufficient and it forced them to buy water from private tanks.
They said that they want the duration of supply to be increased to one hour.
Residents said that on Monday DLF did not supply water to the area because supply was short from Huda’s end.
“I have been living here for 12 years and the water shortage is getting worse by the day,” said Poonam Mehra, a resident.
Residents said that almost 90% of the times, electricity goes out during the supply. “The water needs to be pumped in so that it comes into our tanks, but just when the supply starts, the electricity goes out. It seems to happen in synchronization,” Mehra added.
“We recently had a meeting with senior officials of discom who said that since everyone turns on their pumps at the same time, it triggers power cuts,” another resident said.
TOI tried to reach the DLF spokesperson for comment on the issue, but there was no response.
