Self-help groups strengthening women financially: Governor Smt. Patel
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel on Saturday at Sehore district apprised herself on the implementation of various schemes from children, villagers, women and beneficiaries and gave necessary instructions to the officials. She said that the country will be soon made TB-free.
Make the capable people of the society aware, so that they adopt TB-affected children and help them recover from the disease through proper care.
Governor Smt. Patel reached anganwadi kendra at Jahangirpura village near Sehore and gave necessary instructions after testing the children on their knowledge of language, counting abilities and I.Q. level.
She enquired the girls, women and pregnant women in particular about the facilities available to them of government schemes, immunization, nutritious meals etc.
The Governor inspected the Sub Health Centre, Amlaha and gathered information regarding the facilities being provided to the patients under treatment.
Later she reached Secondary School at Bedakhedi village where she checked the educational level of the children and the quality of mid-day meals.
The Governor was welcomed by presenting a basket of fruits on the occasion which she distributed among the children.She spoke to the officials of Red Cross Society, Rotary Club and the beneficiaries at the rest house situated in Sehore and issued necessary instructions.
She told to increase the number of members of Red Cross Society and make efforts to increase their income.Speaking to the women beneficiaries of Ujjwala, Pradhan Mantri Awas, Mudra Loan and Saubhagya yojana, the Governor told them to light up their lives just like lighting up their houses, by taking the resolve to educate their children.
She said that the country’s all-round development is possible only when women acquire training in some productive work and become financial strong through women self-help groups.
District Panchayat President Smt. Urmila Maretha, MLA Ashta Ranjit Singh Gunwan, MLA Sehore Sudesh Rai, Ashta Janpad President Dhara Singh Patel and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
