Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil S. has declared holiday for all schools and pre-university colleges in Dakshina Kannada on Monday, in view of the warning for heavy rain.
However, the supplementary examinations of the pre-university courses would be conducted as scheduled, a communique said. Minister for Housing and Urban Development U.T. Khader told reporters here that heavy rain is expected to lash the district till July 11.
Meanwhile, Udupi Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis has declared a holiday for schools and pre-university colleges in Kaup and Udupi taluks on Monday.
