Spices rule steady in mute trade

Mumbai, Jul 9 (PTI) Spices ruled steady in an otherwise mute spices market here today due to the absence of any large-scale demand from stockists and retailers.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 360/415 (360/415), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 12,100 (12,100), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 11,900 (11,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 19,900 (19,900), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 15,400 (15,400).
