4 hurt as bombs hurled at moving car

Tension prevailed in the Dhipasahi area under the BN Pur police limits here after some unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at a moving car in the locality on Sunday morning.

Four persons, who were travelling in the car, sustained critical injuries in the attack and admitted to the MKCG Medical College Hospital here for treatment.

Sources said that the bike-borne miscreants intercepted the car and hurled bombs before fleeing the spot. While the exact reason behind the attack was yet to be ascertained, previous enmity was suspected to have led to the incident.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and seized three live crude bombs from there. Further investigation into the incident was on, said a police official.
