35-year-old run over by speeding car, dies

A 35-year-old man died after his motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle near a petrol pump at Hoshangabad road under Misrod police station area on Saturday.

Police said that an injured man was rushed to hospital after his motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Sanket Paliwal, of Katara Hills and used to work at a factory in Mandideep.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.

The errant vehicle having registration number MP04CM1549 hit the motorbike of the deceased which proved fatal for him. The deceased sustained injuries in his head and multiple injuries in left part of the body.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old man whose car hit a road divider at Laghati on June 29 died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital; Koh-e-Fiza police have started investigation. Police said that an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital after his car rammed into a road divider and later he died on Saturday.

The injured was identified as Ram Gopal of JK road. The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation and a case was registered under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.

The car hit the road divider or his car was hit by some other vehicle which rammed his car into road divider would be investigated using the CCTV footages of the cameras installed in the nearby areas.
