VARANASI: Five people were killed while 12 others sustained injuries after the UPSRTC bus they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck near Ahraura in Mirzapur district on Monday evening.
The bus carrying 26 passengers was heading towards Sonebhadra from Jaunpur.
PS Pandey, the acting of SP the district, said that five passengers, including a woman and the bus driver, died on the spot. 12 passengers suffered injuries of which 4 are in critical condition.
The seriously injured were rushed to the trauma centre of BHU in Varanasi.
