Rescuers in northern Thailand on Sunday extracted at least four members of a youth soccer team from the cave where they had been trapped for more than two weeks, part of an ongoing operation to rescue the 12 boys and their coach.
The leader of the operation to rescue 12 boys and their soccer coach from a cave in northern Thailand says the operation is going “better than expected.”
Thirteen foreign divers and five members of Thailand’s elite navy SEAL unit are trying to bring the rest of the boys through narrow, submerged passageways that claimed the life of a former Thai navy diver on Friday.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Rajyvardhan Singh Rathore hailed the efforts of divers and resuers involved in operation to save the football players trapped in Thailand Caves.
Rathore in a tweet said “Hats off to the divers & the rescue operation team working with their heart & soul to save the football players trapped in #ThailandCaves.
Our prayers and best wishes are with them, they epitomize the real idea of One World, One People.”
