Rajasthan witnessed rainfall. Now, the Jaipur
Met office on Sunday said that south west
monsoon is likely to revive from July 10 onwards when scattered rainfall would be witnessed. However, the widespread rainfall activity in the state is likely to be reported from July 12 onwards.
Monsoon rainfall has been missing in the state for the past one week which has raised the humidity levels and heat conditions.
According to the Jaipur Met office, the conditions are becoming favourable for the revival of south west monsoon from Tuesday onwards. “The south west monsoon will revive in the state from
eastern Rajasthan as there is a possibility of rainfall especially in eastern Rajasthan including Jaipur, Dausa, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur districts of the state,” said an official with the Jaipur Met office.
In the absence of monsoon rainfall Jaipurities woke up to a warmer morning as a minimum temperature of 30.6 degree Celsius was recorded in the city. It was followed by a sultry afternoon when a maximum temperature of 42.1 degree Celsius was recorded in the city. Humidity of 61 percent was recorded in the city. The humidity is rising which is a good sign for the revival of monsoon.
Churu remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 45.0 degree Celsius was recorded.
Jaipur Met office said that mild showers would be witnessed at many places in eastern Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. Weather is likely to be dry in rest of the state.
