GURUGRAM: Police on Sunday recovered a country-made pistol from the contract killer, Krishan, who was
arrested last week by Delhi Police as he was hiding in the capital, for allegedly
shooting at an
HR manager, Dinesh Sharma, of a Japanese firm based in Bilaspur on June 7. The
accused was brought to Gurugram on Saturday and was produced in a city court. Two other in the case were arrested on June 25, while another is yet to be arrested.
On June 8, cops arrested an ex-employee, who was sacked in March, Joginder, and his relative, Dayachand, on suspicion, but they were given clean chit after an
SIT found the duo to be innocent. They will be released soon. Cops said Krishan was riding pillion on a two-wheeler when he
shot at the manager near Bilapsur chowk, and the accused who was riding, Surender, is yet to be arrested.
During the investigation, it was found that a dispute over a transport contract led to the attack. Krishan (28) — who works as a bouncer in a city pub — was hired by Charan Singh for shooting Sharma. Fearing loss of contract, Singh had planned the
attack, he told police. Singh and another accomplice Rajesh were arrested on June 25.
Two separate FIRs, against eight people, including Joginder, on June 7 and against another accused on June 12 for sending a threat letter to the company, were registered in Bilaspur police station.
