State Cong chief gives review meeting a miss

After slamming the State Government for selectively undertaking review of development works of the BJP-represented Assembly constituencies while leaving the Congress-held ones out into the cold, the State Congress president and MLA from Chakrata Assembly constituency has given the comprehensive review meeting of the Assembly segments in Dehradun district held on Saturday a miss.

Notably, stung by the political heat generated by what the administration termed as inadvertent omission of some constituencies, the State Government had changed its stand and decided to go for a comprehensive district-wise review meetings of the Assembly constituencies. Quizzed why he abstained himself from the meeting held on Saturday, Pritam Singh said that he had not attended as he had neither been informed nor invited for the meeting.
