Notice asks him to appear before NIA on Aug 13

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has begun the process to attach properties of T. Abdul Rashid Abdulla, said to be key conspirator in luring 20-odd persons from the State to join the IS.

As ordered by the NIA court in Ernakulam, officials of the agency recently put up a property attachment notice at Rashid’s residence at Udumbumthala, near Thrikkarippur.

The notice also ordered Abdul Rashid to appear before the NIA court on August 13.

Officials here have been told to examine the assets and properties of Abdul Rashid, who is believed to have joined the terror group in Afghanistan along with his recruits, including women and children when went missing during May and June, 2016.
