I&PR changes empanelment process of advt agencies

The Information and Public Relations(I&PR) department has changed the empanelment process of advertising agencies in print and outdoor media and grading of small daily newspapers.

HYDERABAD: The Information and Public Relations(I&PR) department has changed the empanelment process of advertising agencies in print and outdoor media and grading of small daily newspapers.

Commissioner of I&PR department, Arvind Kumar, said that the changes have been brought in order to increase competition, transparency and to encourage more creativity, which would help the department. Earlier, the advertising agencies were categorised as A, B and C but now, there will be only two categories, A and B.

All those who are presently empanelled under ‘C’ category by depositing EMD of Rs 2 lakhs, shall be converted into B category.
