HYDERABAD: An altercation between an employee of a logistics firm and an agent who supplied labourers to the firm, led to the brutal murder of the former last week. The motive behind the murder, according to police, is an 8-year-old grudge between the duo. Police on Saturday arrested four suspects in the week-old murder case. DCP LB Nagar M Venkateswar Rao said that the deceased Ghanshyam Singh Negi (45) worked as an accounts manager at Sanjay Logistics at Auto nagar. The main accused Mohd Akber (47) supplied labourers to the firm, for which he was paid `3,800 per load.

Ghanshyam, along with traffic in-charge Anil, collected commission from Akber for each load. However, he had to pay in full to the labourers, due to which he ran into losses. Unable to bear the losses, he questioned Ghanshyam about the commission, which lead to an altercation in 2010, following which Ghanshyam stopped taking Akber’s services, pushing him into financial crisis.

Meanwhile, last Friday Akber went to Ghanshyam and asked him for work again, to which Ghanshyam replied in negative and reportedly abused Akber. He also threatened to kill him. A humiliated Akber reportedly decided to kill Ghanshyam and sought help from Mohd Qadeer, Mohd Yaseen and Mohd Isamuddin.

As per the plan, the four of them arrived at Sanjay Logistics last Saturday. “While Yaseen and Isamuddin waited outside and kept a watch, Akber and Qadeer went into the office and attacked Ghanshyam on his head and right hand. He died on the spot,” said Venkateswar Rao. Police found that Qadeer and Yaseen were involved in murder cases and have been arrested in the past too. Based on clues, the four persons were arrested and produced before the court on Saturday.
