Close on heels of the sensational daylight killing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist in Ferozabad, unidentified assailants again struck terror by shooting at another RSS man, Brijesh Sharma in Mathsena area late on Friday night.

Sharma of Kaneta village was targeted by the assailants while he was returning home after closing his shop at night. He was rushed to the district hospital and later referred to Agra medical college for advanced treatment. The RSS activist’s family alleged that some people from their village exeecutedthe crime over an old land dispute.

Several Hindu outfits reached the scene of crime after the incident and questioned the working of the police. On the family’s complaint, a case was registered against five persons and a manhunt was launched to nab the accused.

It was the second incident when a RSS activist was taregted in two days. Earlier on July 4, RSS worker Dileep Sharma was shot dead in the district. In thatcase, the police arrested his neighbour Pawan Upadhyay but he denied the allegations in front of the media.
