U.S. Trade Representative Announces ‘Exclusion’ Process for Products Hit by U.S. Tariffs on China

Companies have 90 days to apply for exclusions

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Trade Representative outlined a way for companies to get their products excluded from fresh tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese exports that were imposed on Friday.

The Trade Representative’s office said the proceeding would address situations where a product was hit with tariffs because it was part of a targeted product category.
