Two MC officials suspended, others get notice for delay in complaint redressal

CHANDIGARH: Taking cognisance of complaints received through Harpath app, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar suspended executive engineer, PWD (B&R), Rewari V S Malik and nodal officer, Harpath app-cum-engineer, municipal corporation, Rohtak Ram Parkash with immediate effect.
Additional principal secretary to CM Rakesh Gupta said a number of complaints had been received against V S Malik. He said Malik had been given one week to resolve the complaints but he did not reply. He said nodal officer Harpath app, Rohtak Ram Parkash also had complaints against him to which he did not have a satisfactory reply.

Gupta said show-cause notices have been issued against several officers connected with the Harpath app for not taking complaints received on the app seriously. These include chief engineer, municipal corporation, Faridabad D R Bhaskar, engineer, municipal committee, Narnaul Darshan Kumar, executive engineer, Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board, Gurugram Suresh Lathar and chief engineers of Rewari, Mahendergarh, Jind and Mewat districts.

He said negligence regarding complaints received on Harpath App would not be tolerated and action would be taken against those who do not take their work seriously. Officers concerned are required to take action within the stipulated time period, which these officers failed to do.

A 10-day deadline has been fixed to resolve complaints on broken roads received on the Harpath app. As many as 18 lakh complaints have been recieved through this app so far and most of these have been resolved successfully.
