MUMBAI: A truck carrying bottles of mineral water overturned on the
Lalbaug flyover in Mumbai on Friday at 10 am, severely disrupting traffic movement. The flyover was shut as authorities brought in cranes to move the heavy vehicle.
"Traffic police personnel immediately arrived at the spot and issued diversions. Vehicles were directed below the bridge as efforts were made to tow away the truck," said a police official. However, the truck could not be moved even two hours after the accident.
"There were traffic snarls from central to south Mumbai.
Lalbaug flyover is very busy otherwise," said a motorist. Additional traffic personnel were posted to guide the motorists.
