Gearing up for the 2019 polls, Haryana BJP executive committee will meet in Faridabad on July 7 and 8 to chalk out various programmes to reach out to the general public ahead of the elections.

The two-day state executive body meet will also review the ongoing mass contact programmes being carried out by the party across the state.

Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation, Manish Kumar Grover, while talking to the mediapersons on Thursday said that the state BJP executive committee will meet in Faridabad on July 7-8 to discuss various mass contact programmes of the party.

The agenda will be focused on apprizing the general public about the achievements of BJP led Central and Haryana Governments ahead of 2019 polls, he said.

In view of 2019 Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Haryana, the BJP chief Amit Shah had recently held a meeting with the Chief Minister, Union Cabinet Ministers belonging to Haryana, state Cabinet Ministers and other senior party leaders and directed to focus on mass contact programmes at booth level.  After this, Anil Jain, BJP’s incharge for Haryana had also held a meeting of state party unit.

On a question related to three-day tour of Chief Minister Manohar Lal aimed at pacifying the party workers across the state ahead of BJP executive committee meet, Grover said that the party workers are important for BJP and ‘Chai pe Charcha’ programme has been launched to meet them to hear their grievances and take their feedback on the implementation of various welfare schemes.

‘Chai pe Charcha’ contact programme was launched by Chief Minister from Panchkula on Thursday to reach out to the party workers to infuse enthusiasm among them ahead of 2019 polls besides redressing their grievances.

While briefing about the informal routine cabinet meeting held on Wednesday evening by the Chief Minister, Grover said that discussion was held on elections to be held in seven municipal corporations.

“The BJP is ready to contest the election on its symbol. The polls to seven municipal corporations are likely to be held in September-October,” he said.

Grover also informed that 700 buses will soon ply in the state under the scheme of hiring of private buses on kilometer basis by State Transport Department.

The scheme is aimed at reinforcing state’s bus fleet to enhance the coverage and quality of bus services by hiring new standard non AC buses on lease basis in the state.
