27 Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh's Bastar, Sukma districts

Twenty seven Naxals were arrested from separate places in Chhattisgarhs and districts, police said today.

In Sukma, a team of the (DRG) was carrying out a yesterday in the forests near Gogunda and Simel villages in Fulbagdi area when it nabbed Muchaki Bhima (25), Muchaki Sula (25), Madvi Muda (28) and Madvi Sula (32), an said.

Three others, identified as Madvi Kesha (35), Madvi Bhima (25) and woman cadre Kumari Madvi (20) were arrested by a joint team of the CRPF's CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) and the district force from Kottaguda village under station area today, he said.

He informed that they were members of Maoist front organisations like the Dandakarnya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangthan, janmilitia and Chetna Natya Manch.

The seven ultras were allegedly involved in separate incidents of attacks on police teams, the added.

In district, security forces carrying out a in the forests of station area rounded up 20 rebels active in the lower rungs of the proscribed outfit, he said.
