Technical glitch disrupts Kochi Metro services for an hour

The snag forced the train, heading to Maharaja's College station from Aluva, to halt at Ambattukavu by 8.20 am. Following this, the services through one of the tracks had to be stopped.

KOCHI: The services of the Kochi Metro were disrupted for nearly an hour on Thursday morning after one of the rakes developed a technical glitch.

The snag forced the train, heading to Maharaja's College station from Aluva, to halt at Ambattukavu by 8.20 am. Following this, the services through one of the tracks had to be stopped. Meanwhile, the services through the other track continued in slow-moving mode by 8.40 am.

The passengers on the train in which the snag was identified were taken to their destinations in another train.

The slow moving of trains continued till 9.40 am, when the issue was sorted out. "The Metro services were partially disrupted due to the technical snag developed in one of the trains. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers," said KMRL spokesperson.
