Prices of palmolein and groundnut oil fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said, besides easing demand from retailers, adequate stocks position mainly attributed the slide in palmolein and groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils went down by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,000 and Rs 7050 per quintal, respectively. Groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil also traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 8,400 per quintal.
