Woman alleges theft by her ex-fiance

Nagpur: A 25-year-old woman has accused her former fiance and her sister’s husband of stealing cash and valuables worth Rs3.75 lakh from her home at Sadar. Sadar police have booked the accused, identified as Arif Shaikh and Kunal Walde.
Neha Ragde, a resident of Sadar, lives with her mother, sister and sister’s husband, Walde. Neha had kept Rs1.20 lakh cash and gold valuables in a cupboard at the house. She found the booty missing from the cupboard a few days back.

According to cops, the cupboard was gifted to Neha by Shaikh during their engagement. There were two keys of the cupboard, one with Neha and another with Shaikh. However, few months back they broke up and are currently fighting a court case.

Neha suspected involvement of Walde and Shaikh in the theft. When she tried to confront Shaikh, he abused and also threatened her of dire consequences, said cops.

It is learnt, Neha’s brother had stabbed Walde who is now recuperating at a hospital.
