Describing founder as a for whom nation came first, said today that his life is a source of inspiration for his party.

"Dr Mookerjee always placed national interest above political power. He was in and a member of Jawaharlal Nehru's cabinet at one time, but he quit it and parted ways with as he was opposed to Nehru's policy of appeasement," Bhatt said at a programme at the BJP office in Dehradun to mark the birth founder.

"His principles will always guide us," he said.

Bhatt said the sacrifices made by Mookerjee and his colleagues made the BJP reach a position of eminence today.
