Chronicle Reporter, Vidisha, Keeping the environment safe is our moral responsibility. Keeping this view, a ‘Tree Plantation Camp’ was organised in the school campus at Teonda in Vidisha district by Supreme Education Society Kurwai.
In this camp, students, teachers participated enthusiastically and showed their concern for the environment. They set an example that even a small step can bring a change.
The activity sensitised students about the need to save environment. In the programme, TI Narbadaprasad Daima, Soorajprakash Shrivastava, Supreme Convent school founder Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Surendrasingh Sisodia and Narayansingh Golandas were Guest of Honour.
Guests in the programme spoke on Ecological & Environmental Value of plants. Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.
Media incharge of the committee Smt Sadia Khan imparted oath of plantation drive to all the students. On this occasion Matra chhaya committee secrestary Smt Meena Sisodiya, Mukesh Patel, Hemraj Rajpoot, Prashant Shrivastava, Randhir Singh, Mahendra Singh Thakur, Kamalsingh Kushwah, Lakshmansingh Rajpoot, Rachna Rajpoot, Sona Thakur and many local public participated in the programme.
