Debutant Hegel's Naseerinte Rosy has commenced filming. Scripted by Vijay K Mohan, the film stars newcomers Hashim Hussain and Shruti Rajanikanth as male and female leads. Santosh Kizhatoor, Sunil Sugatha, Aristo Suresh, Rajesh Sharma, Aziz Nedumangad, Ranjith Balan, Aneesh Ravindran, Ajay Raj, Sonia, Sini, Bhadra, Binni, Abhaya, Delu Augustin, Master Avaril, Surya, Ante, and Nikhil appear in supporting roles.

Vijay K Mohan said the film is a love story with a significant amount of humour. "There have been many love stories and the basic emotion is the same in all. However, we have adopted a unique approach with ours, with regard to camera movements and everything. The camera has been used here like a third eye following the characters. The treatment will be similar to new gen films."

Shruti Rajanikanth plays the daughter of Sunil Sugatha's character, a police officer. My Dear Kuttichathan fame Sonia appears in the role of the hero's mother. The script, which has been four years in the making, involves a kidnapping plot. When asked whether the title has anything to do with late actor Prem Nazir or his 1965 film Rosie, the writer says, "The hero is a Prem Nazir fan who is obsessed with him and his movies. So a tribute will be there for sure. The ending has a connection to a Prem Nazir-Jayabharathi movie."

Mohanakrishnan and Joseph Thiruthanathil are producing the film under the banner of Magic Cube Creations. Das K Mohanan is handling the cinematography and Gokul Babu the editing. Filming is currently progressing in Mala, Koratti, and Angamaly.
